Wichard Gyb'easy Boom Brake . The Gyb'Easy Boom Brake was developed using technology from Wichard's Simond division, which makes mountaineering and ice climbing equipment. Based on the same principal as the friction brakes that mountaineers use to control their descent during a rappel, this simple device offers an easy way to tame otherwise dangerous gybes. It safely controls the speed of the boom's motion during a gybe, and also locks the boom in one position. The Boom Brake has three settings to adjust the friction on the line that passes through the device. Configurations of one, two, or three wraps are possible to accommodate different degrees of load. Recommended for mainsails up to 500sq. ft., it comes with 52' of 3/8" Gyb'Flex line designed to absorb shock loads encountered during a gybe. Made of hard anodized 6062 forged aluminum Brake weighs 1.32 pounds Measures 4 1/2"W x 7 1/2"L Includes a 5/16" bow shackle rated for a safe working load of 2, 650 pounds More Info

With its adjustable tension spring the Zap-O-Mat is the worlds first adjustable belay device. The ingenious idea of having a loaded spring in the handle means the Zap-O-Mat is ideal for every sport climbing situation and for every belayer regardless of weight or rope thickness. Soft or dynamic belaying is possible without having to jump. Push the green "spring load" button in and the rope can be paid out easily for on sight or red point attempts. Release the spring by pushing the button on the bottom side of the handle and the central bolt moves easily and the Zap-O-Mat blocks quickly. When lowering, the integrated carabiner-arrester prevents the unit from being pushed too far, increasing braking power. This is ideal for working routes or situations when the climber is heavier than the belayer. Perfect device for the safety and comfort conscious climber. Useable for single ropes between 8.9 mm and 10.5 mm. The Zap-O-Mat is a hybrid tube-unit and not a semi automatic belay device. More Info

The GRIGRI 2 belay device with assisted braking is designed to facilitate belay maneuvers. The GRIGRI 2 works equally well for lead climbing and top roping. It may be used on all single dynamic 8.9 to 11 mm ropes on the market (ideal at 9.4 mm to 10.3 mm). Both compact and ultra-light, the GRIGRI 2 will accompany you on climbs around the world for many years. The GRIGRI 2 has a new design that allows excellent control during the descent. Belay technique identical to classic belay systems: both hands on the rope. A fall is stopped by tightening the hand on the free end of the rope. Assisted braking capability: during fall arrest, the belayer holds the free end of the rope, the cam pivots and pinches the rope, increasing the braking action until the rope stops sliding. The GRIGRI 2 has a new design that allows excellent control during the descent. One hand holds the rope and the other uses the handle to unlock the cam. The patented handle design allows a very gradual release of the rope. In combination with the strong braking action of the cam, it gives a great feeling of control when lowering a partner or rappelling. The GRIGRI 2 is compact and ultra-light at 185 g (25 % smaller and 20 % lighter than the GRIGRI) The construction includes a stainless steel friction plate and cam to ensure a long life for the product For 8.9 to 11 mm single ropes (ideal at 9.4 to 10.3 mm) Diagrams for rope installation engraved on belay device (interior and exterior) More Info
